ICE Announces Deployment of the New 4G Tech

The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) presented the latest generation of mobile technology: 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution).

ICE, with its brand Kölbi Ultra 4G LTE is in the process of deploying this network and becomes the first telecom operator in the country that will provide the service through innovative data plans.

The new network will surf the Internet 10 times faster and more effective than with 3G, even allow live broadcasts and share multimedia in high definition as well as watch television in HD and 3D.

Other advantages of the new technology are faster video and audio downloads and access business applications that require higher bandwidth.
