Upcoming Fuel Price Increase Scares Drivers

During this month the fuel price will increase by more than 100 colones per liter reported the Public Services Regulatory Authority.

This increase is comprised of four cumulative adjustments. Carolina Mora, Aresep spokeswoman said the increase will apply in the month of April.

A liter of premium gasoline will increase from ¢ 615 to ¢ 724, plus gas, will increase from ¢ 600 to ¢ 707, while diesel will increase from ¢ 575 to ¢ 645.

Asked about this increase some drivers disagreed.

In the same period in 2011 for example, a liter of super cost 681 colones gasoline, 43¢ less than with the new increase, as gasoline plus the most popular among drivers. While the diesel users paid 22 colones less.
