Traffic Police Undergo Skin Cancer Screening

Due to their constant exposure to the sun for the tasks associated with regulation of traffic and as a preventive measure, more than 200 officers were tested for skin cancer on Saturday at the Hospital Mexico.

Maristella Viccari, advisor to the Minister of Transport on traffic issues said the goal is to identify in time if an officer has skin cancer.

According to transit officials Viccari should raise awareness about the risk and implement preventive measures such as the use of cap and applying sunscreen every two hours.

Preliminary transpired that three to five traffic officers tested positive in the tests.
