A loin of beef or pork, sweet bread with stuffing, sausages, bottled water and fruits like kiwi and plums rise in price next week.
This is established in a decree announced days ago by President Laura Chinchilla as part of contingency measures that had the fiscal plan in the Constitutional Court.
The document was published on 30 April and will be effective on Monday 7 May.The decree of the Ministry of Finance amending the list of goods in the basic basket.
These include salmon, peaches, turkey, honey and live plants.
The group President said that if you buy one on Monday you must pay 13 percent more.
A list of items that now have to pay tax are oysters, lobsters, poultry and game, peaches and rice for paella.
