The President of the Republic, Laura Chinchilla, said this morning that Costa Rica “is growing strongly and the economy is expanding as not seen for years.”
She made these statements this morning, in the Parque Juan Santamaria in Alajuela, when they celebrated the 156th anniversary of the Battle of Rivas.
Chinchilla also said that, the country generated over 80 thousand jobs in the last 12 months and that the security situation is beginning to improve.
Meanwhile, former presidential candidate and current head of fraction of the Social Christian Unity Party (PUSC), Luis Fishman, said that Costa Rica advances “because the economy grows, while the Government sleeps”.
Fishman said the country is “extraordinarily good and beautiful” and that the economy shows growth under country and Costa Ricans, but emphasized that it is not an achievement of the current government.
