Juan Delgado Corrales Uriel is the oldest person in Costa Rica and on Saturday he celebrated his 112th in the company of a very special group of friends.
Known as ‘Chepito’, the resident of Santa Ana is known for being a happy person and enjoys life through dance and painting.
He resides in the Assisted Living of Santa Ana Mercies, for 17 years.
The sisters of the Centre to Chepito described him as a person of few words, noble and helpful.
He has no known family, locals say that before entering the nursing home, he was walking from house to house from Brasil de Mora to this community, which offered him something to eat and a place to wash.
