Filling the tank of your vehicle will cost more than five-thousand colones from tomorrow, due to increased fuel prices.
This resolution was published Wednesday by the Regulatory Authority of Public Services (ARESEP) in the Official Gazette, so that adjustments in gasoline and diesel will govern from the early hours of Thursday.
The increases will range from 70 to 109 colones per liter, says ARESEP spokeswoman Carolina Mora.
As of tomorrow every liter of premium gasoline will cost 724 colones to regulate the diesel 706 and 645 colones, the highest prices of the last 9 months according to statistics from the Costa Rican Oil Refinery (RECOPE).
The chairman of the House of Fuel Dispensers, Antonio Galva, considered to be affected, as the Ticos will not buy as much gasoline as before the increase.
With the price adjustment that takes effect tomorrow, Costa Ricans pay more than anywhere else in Central America.
