Costa Rica Volcano Heats Up to 700 Degrees

An overflight was made yesterday morning by the Turrialba volcano showed that temperatures inside the colossus, near the crater, reached almost 700 degrees celsius.

This was announced by volcanologist at the University of Costa Rica, Raul Alberto Mora, who noted that the volcano is constantly changing activity, and this week there were columns of smoke up to a kilometer high.

The Turrialba Volcano is closed to tourists for scientific advice from experts in earthquake engineering.

Throughout the next week Turrialba Volcano National Park will be subject to ongoing review by specialists.
