Costa Rica Hotels Have to Pay ¢942 Million For Social Security


A total of 428 Costa Rica hotels companies must pay to the Social Security Fund (CCSS) ¢ 942 million, reported yesterday that entity.

Luis Diego Calderon, director of Collections of the institution, he said, through a press release that “some of them already have been sent notices of administrative collection, have been invited to make payment adjustments and companies that have debts exceeding three months, it went to judicial collection. ”

Data are from the Centralized Collection System (SICERE) of the Fund.

Of ¢ 942 million owed by the hoteliers, ¢ 437 million are concentrated in 10 of them.

Of top 10 hotel companies with higher debt amounts the CCSS published in its Facebook profile.

La Condesa Hotel Corporation is the largest debtor, with an amount of ¢ 94,523,039. MRJ Grecem corporation owes ¢ 89,451,053 and Corporate Hospitality Morazán a total of ¢ 48,020,243.

The media tried to obtain the representatives of La Condesa, but it was not possible to achieve a response.

Renato Calvo Morera, vice president of La Condesa, said he could not talk about it.

Ana Yancy Quesada, Attorney Corporate Hospitality Morazán, said she does not know nothing about the debt that keeps the society.

“I know until today by this call, the truth, I’m not the right person to give them declarations, it is better that the president will talk about the subject.”
