Fifty new patrols will be part of team that the traffic police will monitor the roads with.
The government of China donated these units to be distributed throughout the country. The North Huetar receive eight, seven in Guanacaste, Limón will have seven and Central Pacific will have six.
The donation is around 772 million colones and today patrols are working in the streets. They also have 28 radar guns for speed control.
In the coming days they will also be adding 60 new officers.
