The President of the Republic, Laura Chinchilla, this week signed a decree to create the Special Fraud Unit, as confirmed by the Minister of Communication, Francisco Chacon.
The new Anti-Fraud Unit will be comprised of an elite group of officials working with the Department of Taxation and bring to justice major tax evaders.
There will be a competition of ten posts and nominate experts to bring to justice individuals and businesses that violate the public finances.
Francisco Chacon said it would be this Thursday when the president signs the decree.
According to Chacon, Special Fraud Unit to consider the cases of evasion would be made in about 3 months.
