The emergency services of the National Children’s Hospital, received a donation of equipment to detect abdominal trauma, cardiac and nerve damage.
The team now has the ability to implement this in to the care for patients. This will help keep extreme care in those patients who find it difficult to get around.
The project is part of the policy of social responsibility of a private banking company in Costa Rica.
The donation agreement was made at the request of the hospital and a study by the bank about the needs of the medical center.
The equipment is worth $53 million and has high definition technology.
Hospital officials stress that this is just one of the many needs of the medical center.
